The peace of God, as the future of the kingdom of God, must penetrate and hold complete sway over world conditions. He who believes in the all-commanding might of God is filled with courage and certainty for the victory of His peace. Faith in the peace of God is the courage of the heart that is confident of victory.

- Eberhard ArnoldPrayer must never supplant work in God’s kingdom and in his church. If we ask God earnestly for his will to be done on this earth, for his nature to be shown in our work, for his rule to bring men to unity, justice and love – then our life will be a life of work. Faith without works is dead. Prayer without work is hypocrisy. Un¬less we live according to God’s kingdom, the Lord’s Prayer is a lie. Unless love within the community results in work and deed, our Tree of Life will wither and come under judgment.

It is God who gives faith and brings it about. The oneness of man with God consists in the faith that comes from God. Where community is given through faith, this community sets to work at a living activity which is God’s doing. In faith, God’s power is revealed through human helplessness, God’s greatness through human smallness.
